My momma is 92 years old and unable to do all the daily requirements for linving alone.  She came to live at Birmingham East in March of 2014. Is has been a difficult adjustment for her, as she is a very independent person.  Birmingham East has allowed her to maintain a sense of independence while taking care of her.  I, myself have found the staff to always be friendly and willing to help with the care of my momma.

All of the staff is friendly and caring to the residents.  There is a lot of love with the staff and it's not just a 'job' to them; you can tell they really care. There are a lot of activities, Bingo, arts and crafts, and games to keep residents happy. The nursing home is always clean, nice & neat - it's a nice and beautiful place to welcome our loved ones to visit. I was here before and I knew this was the only place I would ever come back to when I needed long-term care.  This is my home and I love it!

I have been a resident of Birmingham East since June of 2009.  I am very happy here ! I am much better here at Birmingham East than I was at home.  I am around friends everyday and the staff is very nurturing and caring.  There is no other place I would rather be so I say Birmingham East is the place to be!

Howard Lanier, Current Resident and Resident Council President

I have been a resident of Birmingham East since November of 2010. I came here to live because I could no longer live at home alone.  I might have lost my independence of living alone, but I gained an army full of friends that I call my family.  I enjoy spedning time with all my friends at Birmingham East including the staff.  I have never met such a kind and caring staff, that delivers care with a compassion.  We have a lot of fun in activities especially BINGO! As far as I can say Birmingham East is the best place for me!

My mom is 92 years old, she has been a resident of Birmingham East since moving to the Trussville area in February of 2012.  When we knew mom was coming to the area to live, and needed placement we visited several facilities in the area.  We chose Birmingham East because of the home like atmosphere and caring staff.  The staff of Birmingham East has done an excellent job of meeting moms needs along with the family's immediate needs.  Even though we would love to care for mom at home, we could not care for her 24 hours a day.  Birmingham East has been beyond a blessing to our mother and family.
